Community Based Shopping in Delaware

What is Community Based Shopping ?

In 2005 I walked away from a Six Figure Job after being disgusted at how hard it was for women to reenter the workplace after having children. As a newlywed and thinking of having a family of my own I wanted to evoke change and create a place where we celebrated the many layers of being a working woman.

I had always dreamed that LuLu's would be a place that I could create many jobs for women but the reality is low prices and high taxes, rents and insurances just doesn't let me make as many jobs as I would like to but everyone is LuLu's is the same. We all do the same jobs so that each person can enjoy their family and a work life balance.

In 2016 I was introduced the the SITE program. The SITE program works with young adults with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities and helps them develop marketable job skills. My hope and dream is that by working with these amazing young adults that when they " time out " of the system they are able to get a paying job.  No job is too big or too small for these wonderful young adults. With your support, the more we sell, the more job skills we are able to share.

The SITE participants work both on site at our location and do  work back that their location.

Some of the jobs they do for us :

Pick and Pack Shipments

Prep Jewelry for Sale

Package  Custom Corporate Gifts

We thank you for your business and your support.  Every single Shop LuLu purchase creates a job for a mom and for one of the exceptional young adults.

Thank you for Supporting My Dreams of Supporting these Inspiring Team Members.

If you would like more information about how we integrate training into our workplace PLEASE talk to me about it !!  There are no jobs too big or too small and I learn so much every single day I work with these great " kids" . My heart is full because of them.
