Don't worry - we won't tell how little you paid to be so fabulous
In September 2004 I moved to Wilmington, Delaware from Manayunk,
Pennsylvania and thought to myself, " someone PINCH me". TAX FREE
Shopping ! I was disappointed to find out that tax free shopping also
meant a lot of big box retailers lacking fun or flair and only wanted
to sell me designer bags with designer prices.
Where were all of the cute, eccentric mom and pop shops that always had fun, interesting people and offerings ?
The type of shops that I had loved in both Manayunk and New Hope, PA ?
I had always dreamed of owning a business where someone would look at me and say " How is this so cheap, where did you find this, I need to OWN it !" Where the customers would know that they were still getting a good deal while fashionable fabulous. I was desperate to find a place that reminded me of what I loved of Manayunk and New Hope.... and then I found Booth's Corner Market. I found what I had dreamed of and wanted to be a part of the very interesting scene.
That's when LuLu's was born.
I opened my first shop in April 2005 and many moves around the farmer's market ( thank you wonderful customers for sticking with me during my real estate hopscotch ) later we landed in our current space in the Mid Level of Booth's Corner Farmer's Market. We have so many fantastic, warm and loving customers. I feel so lucky to have met so many interesting and diverse devotees who I look forward to seeing each week to hear the updates of their lives and families, watching all of the sweet little girls becoming fashion forward teenagers. Thank you for sharing your lives with me and allowing my mom and I to share ours with you.
LuLu is not my name, and yes, I will absolutely answer to it but my real name is Jill, LuLu is my Chihuahua.
LuLu is a fun shop with a fashion flair to indulge the little girl in all of us, who still gets giddy over lots of fun little inexpensive baubles.
In 2009 and 2010 and 2011 we won City Voter's Hot List for Women's Accessories, all of my dreams have come true and I could not have done it without you !

I decided to create my own.
LuLu's - Booths Corner was just a stones throw in Pennsylvania
